Mingus Finishes 22nd at Martinsville Speedway

MARTINSVILLE, Virginia (March 30, 2015) – Three races into the 2015 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season, Mason Mingus and his Billy Boat Motorsports team headed to Martinsville Speedway for the Kroger 250. The No. 15 Call 811 Before You Dig Chevrolet Silverado started 20th and finished in the 22nd position.

The Brentwood, Tennessee native rolled off 20th in the 250-lap event at Martinsville Speedway on Saturday. After electing to stay out and not pit under the first caution, Mingus led the field to green on the first restart on lap 41. The No. 15 Call 811 Before You Dig Chevy was involved in two cautions on laps 54 and 156, but received minimal damaged. The 20-year-old fought hard all day and crossed the finish line 22nd.

“This weekend definitely wasn’t the finish I feel we were capable of. After getting spun it was tough to get back on a good tire sequence and we were stuck playing catch up all day,” said Mingus. “The guys at Billy Boat Motorsports brought a good truck to Martinsville and made a lot of positive changes over the course of the weekend, but we just weren’t able to showcase that.”

Next up for Mason Mingus and the No. 15 Call 811 Before You Dig Chevy is Kansas Speedway on Friday, May 8 at 8:30 pm ET airing live on Fox Sports 1.
