WEEKEND BREAKDOWN

MINGUS AT MARTINSVILLE… Coming off a career-best finish at Talladega, Mason Mingus heads to Martinsville Speedway this weekend in the No. 15 Call 811 Before You Dig Chevrolet Silverado for the Kroger 200.

RACE RECAP… The 20-year-old qualified 19th last weekend in the Fred’s 250 at Talladega Speedway. Mingus avoided all mayhem during the 94-lap event, including a late-race wreck that ended the race under caution. The No. 15 Call 811 Before You Dig Chevy came home in third place, a career-best finish for Mingus and Billy Boat Motorsports.

FAST FACTS… The Brentwood, Tennessee native finished 15th in the event at Martinsville last year.

CALL 811… Common Ground Alliance is the leading association created specifically to work with all industry stakeholders in an effort to prevent damage to underground utility infrastructure and ensure public safety and environmental protection. Along with the new 811-number, CGA and its 1,400 members and sponsors have launched the national “Call Before You Dig” campaign to increase public awareness about the importance of using 811, having utility lines marked before digging and protecting America’s vast underground infrastructure of pipelines, conduits, wires and cables. MEET MINGUS… The driver of the No. 15 Chevy will be at the NCWTS autograph session on Friday, October 30 from 4:45 – 5:30 pm at Martinsville Speedway in front of the main ticket office.

FROM THE DRIVER… “I’m excited for Martinsville,” said Mingus. “I think the guys at BBM have put together a good truck and hopefully we can carry the momentum from our third place at Talladega over and come out with a solid finish.”
