MINGUS AT TALLADEGA… With 5 races left in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) season, Mason Mingus and the No. 15 Call 811 Before You Dig Chevrolet Silverado head to Talladega Superspeedway this weekend for the Fred’s 250.
RACE RECAP… Mingus qualified 8th, his best effort to date, last time he was on track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on October 3. The Brentwood, Tennessee native battled handling issues during the 146-lap event and the No. 15 Call 811 Before You Dig Chevy came home in the 20th position.
THINK PINK… The 20-year-old’s ride will be sporting a pink paint scheme this weekend to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
CALL 811… Common Ground Alliance is the leading association created specifically to work with all industry stakeholders in an effort to prevent damage to underground utility infrastructure and ensure public safety and environmental protection. Along with the new 811-number, CGA and its 1,400 members and sponsors have launched the national “Call Before You Dig” campaign to increase public awareness about the importance of using 811, having utility lines marked before digging and protecting America’s vast underground infrastructure of pipelines, conduits, wires and cables. The No. 15 Chevy will also have support for Alabama 811, a division of the national Call 811 campaign. Learn more at www.call811.com and www.commongroundalliance.com.
MEET MINGUS… The driver of the No. 15 Chevy will be at the NCWTS autograph session on Friday, October 23 at Talladega from 4-4:45 located at the Hospital Village behind Birmingham Tower.
FROM THE DRIVER… “I am looking forward to Talladega,” said Mingus. “We had a really fast truck there last year before we were involved in a wreck early. I am hopeful that we can get the finish we deserve this year. Thank you Call 811 and Alabama 811 for the support this weekend.”
